We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer in Manama, Bahrain. The role involves leading civil and structural construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and up to the highest safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily site activities for civil and structural works.
- Ensure all construction is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate between consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives for smooth project execution.
- Prepare and submit daily site logs, weekly progress reports, and monthly reviews.
- Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and propose corrective action plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections to check compliance with QA/QC standards, building codes, and engineering requirements.
- Review and approve technical submissions, shop drawings, and material requests.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules and promote a safe workplace culture.
- Track project costs, verify subcontractor work, and assist with payment applications.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers, supervisors, and foremen.
- Maintain organized records including RFIs, NCRs, inspection checklists, and as-built drawings.
- Represent the company in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in civil site supervision and project management (residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, QA/QC processes, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
- Familiarity with contracts, project documentation, and approval procedures.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- GCC experience and a valid driving license are preferred.
