We are seeking skilled CNC Lathe Machinists / CNC Operators for oilfield equipment manufacturing and maintenance. The role focuses on precision turning of components in compliance with API Spec 7-1 (rotary drill stem) and API Spec 5CT standards.
Key Duties:
- Operate CNC lathes for turning operations according to engineering drawings.
- Set up tools, perform turning cycles, and adjust for API-compliant threads and connections.
- Ensure precision turning with tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
- Inspect parts using gauges, micrometers, and CMM; troubleshoot lathe issues.
- Maintain equipment, follow safety protocols (OSHA/API), and optimize workflow efficiency.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of CNC turning experience in oil & gas industry.
- Hands-on experience with lathe turning, precision measuring tools, and blueprint interpretation.
- Knowledge of API 7-1 / 5CT standards for threads and tubular components.
- Strong attention to detail for quality and safety compliance.
- High School / GED; machining certification preferred.
