Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Gardener to maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will ensure healthy plants, neat outdoor spaces, and efficient use of gardening tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Garden & Landscape Maintenance:
- Plant, water, fertilize, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
- Maintain flower beds, garden plots, and seasonal plantings according to landscape plans.
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, and remove weeds.
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers safely and according to guidelines.
- Ensure proper irrigation and repair irrigation systems when needed.
Cleaning & Upkeep:
- Remove fallen leaves, debris, and litter from garden and outdoor areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of pathways, lawns, and landscaped areas.
Plant Health & Pest Control:
- Monitor plants for diseases or pest infestations.
- Treat plants as required or inform the supervisor for further action.
- Replace dead or unhealthy plants when necessary.
Equipment & Material Handling:
- Use gardening tools and equipment safely, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and hoses.
- Maintain gardening tools and report damaged equipment.
- Assist in ordering and storing plants, soil, fertilizers, and other materials.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work under the guidance of the Horticulture Supervisor or Landscaping Manager.
- Report any issues with plants, irrigation, or garden facilities.
- Assist with seasonal landscaping projects or events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in gardening or landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of plant care, irrigation, and pest control.
- Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain neat and organized outdoor spaces.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
