About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement In-Charge with expertise in joinery and furniture procurement. The ideal candidate will manage local and international procurement, oversee supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of materials for projects and production. This role requires strong negotiation skills, organizational abilities, and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage local and international procurement for materials and supplies according to project and production requirements.
  • Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain minimum stock for daily consumables and project needs.
  • Ensure proper approvals are obtained before procurement and maintain compliance with company policies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and handle vendor selection and qualification for new suppliers.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with stores, accounts, projects, and factory teams for smooth procurement operations.
  • Support departments with BOQ preparation and capital purchase monitoring.
  • Monitor deliveries to ensure on-time receipt of goods and services.
  • Oversee logistics, shipping terms, and supplier coordination for timely delivery.
  • Maintain professional knowledge of quality, occupational health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Lead and manage the procurement team, ensuring timely reporting, MIS updates, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
  • Manage annual maintenance contracts and ensure compliance with timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: BCom, Degree, or Diploma in Materials Management.
  • Experience: 5–10 years in procurement, preferably with joinery or furniture experience.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and supply chain management.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with quality standards, safety, and environmental policies.
