We are looking for a Surveyor Helper to assist our surveying team in Manama, Bahrain. The ideal candidate will support field surveys, help collect accurate data, and assist in preparing survey reports for construction and land development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surveyors in conducting field surveys using total stations, GPS units, levels, and other surveying tools
- Set up, operate, and dismantle surveying instruments at job sites
- Help collect precise measurements of distances, elevations, and angles
- Record survey data accurately in field notes
- Assist in marking boundaries, stakes, and reference points
- Support the preparation of sketches, maps, and survey reports under guidance of senior surveyors
- Transport, maintain, and calibrate survey equipment
- Follow safety protocols and properly use PPE on site
- Verify measurements and calculations with surveyors during fieldwork
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting land records, plans, and legal documents
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to successful project completion
- Perform other duties as required to support surveying operations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or coursework in surveying is a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in a survey-related role preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome
- Basic knowledge of surveying principles, measurements, and tools
- Familiarity with surveying instruments (total stations, GPS, levels) is an asset
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior surveyors
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on different terrains
- Good physical condition to lift and carry equipment
- Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills
- Team-oriented with good communication skills and reliability
