A newly opened hypermarket in Hamad Town is seeking an experienced Delicatessen Supervisor to manage and lead the deli section. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality food preparation, maintain food safety standards, and supervise a team efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Delicatessen Section, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee preparation and display of fresh foods, including cold cuts, cheeses, salads, and ready-to-eat items
- Supervise, train, and schedule deli staff
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for the deli section
- Maintain high standards of customer service and staff performance
- Handle planning, organization, and problem-solving for the section
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Food Service, or Management preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a deli, butcher shop, or fresh food retail environment, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of fresh food products, slicing techniques, storage, and handling procedures
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication abilities
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, or other languages is an advantage
