About the Role
We are hiring a talented Sous Chef with expertise in modern Indian cuisine to join our culinary team in Bahrain. This role is ideal for someone who combines traditional Indian cooking knowledge with creativity, innovation, and attention to detail. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, leading staff, and maintaining food quality for both dine-in and delivery service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen activities.
- Supervise and prepare modern Indian dishes with consistent quality and presentation.
- Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and creative plating ideas.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Manage mise en place, kitchen inventory, and workflow to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain strict cost control and efficiency during operations.
- Work closely with the management team to uphold brand quality and consistency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in Indian or fusion cuisine.
- Strong understanding of Indian spices, regional flavors, and modern culinary techniques.
- Creative mindset with an eye for plating and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
