The Engineering Manager will organize, coordinate, and control department activities to support programs with strong quality, cost control, and workplace safety. The position also includes directing activities related to engine part repairs, engine troubleshooting, technical investigations, and engineering support for production and commercial work.amentumcareers+1
Main Responsibilities
- Direct, review, approve, or develop technical engineering reports, drawings, and repair-related documents for engine inspection and repair work.
- Support production problem-solving and coordinate work related to engine testing issues.
- Participate in new program development for engine overhaul capability, upgrades, and cost-effective engineering support.
- Take part in technical investigations of failed parts and incidents, then prepare final technical reports.
- Control department activities to improve the use of personnel and equipment while maintaining safety and quality.
- Review manufacturer technical deviations, service bulletins, upgrades, and related changes, then recommend the best method of application.
- Recommend more efficient department operating methods based on company standards.
- Help prepare annual department targets and manage resources to achieve them.
- Support annual budget planning by proposing department needs in personnel, materials, and operations.
- Attend staff meetings, prepare reports, evaluate staff performance, and plan workload based on production needs.
- Follow up on training programs to improve the technical knowledge of team members.
- Support the technical side of commercial contracts and coordinate with OEMs and customers.
Education and Skills
