We are hiring an experienced Planning Engineer for construction projects in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role involves project scheduling, progress tracking, reporting, and delay analysis across large construction works.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project master schedules, including baseline and look-ahead plans
- Develop time-scaled work sequences and identify critical path activities
- Update schedules based on site progress, changes, and delays
- Track project progress and compare planned vs actual performance
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports (Gantt charts, S-curves, variance analysis)
- Report schedule status to Project Manager, HOD, and stakeholders
- Coordinate with project, site, contracts, procurement, and controls teams
- Facilitate planning meetings, progress reviews, and coordination workshops
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and bottlenecks
- Perform what-if analysis, delay impact analysis, and mitigation planning
- Propose recovery plans and corrective actions
- Maintain planning records, baselines, logs, and change control documents
- Manage milestones, KPIs, and progress measurement systems
- Support claims and EOT preparation with schedule data
- Assist in manpower, equipment, and material planning
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics to align deliveries with schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Construction, or Project Management preferred)
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of planning experience in construction projects
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, buildings, Oil & Gas, or utilities projects
- Experience with large civil, structural, or MEP works preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Primavera P6 (mandatory)
- Knowledge of MS Project
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, reporting, and data analysis
- Good understanding of progress measurement and forecasting techniques
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (English required, Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong coordination and attention to detail
Salary
- SAR 7,000 to 10,000 (based on experience)
